How to Trigger Maestro Relay

We are doing a small animatronic project and using the 2480 and G5LE-14. We are unable to get the relay to trigger. Is there some resource for us? When we try to trigger, we get a buzzing. So we tried to add more voltage to see if it was too low. The buzz is louder but won’t trigger.

Can you share a photo that clearly shows how the devices are wired together and/or a schematic?

Maybe your Vdd voltage isn’t the correct voltage (5V or 12V depending on which G5LE-14 you have) or can’t supply enough current to activate the solenoid completely?

its 5V version, we are running 6.5 volts when you activate it in the script theres only a few 10ths change in the out put as you run the slide back and fourth. the relay just buzz’s like theres not enough power. Im using the 3 pin right from the Meastro its only 6" away all the servos work just fine. I just need to send a trigger to activate a sound card

Did you configure the Maestro channel you are using to trigger the relay as an output? Since you are using the #2480 SPDT Relay Carrier with 5VDC Relay (and not the #2408 RC Switch with Relay), you need to send it a simple high/low signal and not a hobby RC servo signal.

If that does not fix the problem, the pictures of your setup that clearly show all of your connections that AdamGreen mentioned would be very helpful. Additionally, could you post a copy of your Maestro settings file? You can save a copy of your settings file from the “File” drop-down of the Maestro Control Center software (while the controller is connected).
