How to build a line follower robot without any coding?

I want to build a line follower robot but haven’t worked on microcontrollers or any experience of programming. Can I build a simple robot without microcontrollers?

Hello.

It should be possible to build an analog logic line follower, though in some ways, it may be just as difficult as building one based on a microcontroller. We sell a Tamiya Line Tracing Snail kit that uses an analog circuit to follow a line. There is also a nice looking example of one posted on Hackaday.

If you just want to build a robot without writing any new code, our 3pi and Zumo robots come with line following example code that can be loaded and is generally functional without any further modification.
