Hello, I have set-up 2 axes with “Auto-homing”. When I run a simple script, the axes are auto-homing again, even if there is nothing about homing in the script. Was the script suppose to work this way?
Hello.
Could you clarify what product you’re using and post more details about your setup, including the script you’re running?
Brandon
I am using a Maestro 18 with 2 Tic 36v4. The script can be empty. As soon as I click “Apply Settings” to motors are going into “Auto homing”. The script starts after that.
When the automatic homing is enabled, the Tic controllers will home the stepper motor whenever it is being commanded to go to a specific position but it is uncertain about is current position (e.g. immediately after motor power is applied, commanding a new target after the stepper motor is de-energized or after certain error conditions). So, your description of what’s happening sounds like it is probably the normal expected behavior. Can you post a copy of your Maestro settings file and your Tic settings files as well as a description of the steps you are taking? You can save a copy of the settings file for each device by choosing the “Save settings file” option under the “File” drop-down menu of their respective control software.
