Futaba J Pins in Generic Plastic Connectors

Hi all,

I’m wondering if anyone knows if the “Futaba J” type pins - Pololu - Futaba J Connector Pack, Female
are not quite the right size/dimension to fit into the crimp housings like these https://www.pololu.com/product/1905.

I can get them to click in okay, but it seems to me much more difficult to insert the pin into the connector when assembling them that to insert the pin into the plastic piece that comes with the “Futaba J” pack.

Or in other words - are these pins https://www.pololu.com/product/1930 identical to the pins in this kit? Pololu - Futaba J Connector Pack, Female

Hello.

The crimps used in the Futaba J connector packs are similar but not identical to our more generic 0.1" female crimp pins. Both are intended to be used with 0.1" pitch connectors, but as you observed, the Futaba pins are a little bit larger, which makes them harder to use with our crimp connector housings.

Do you happen to sell the Futaba plastic housings without pins? Hoping to have just one “type” of pins I could use for both plastic housings.

We do not have Futaba J connector housings available separately from the pins.
