I’m planning on adding an external power supply to the 3pi. Is there any harm in feeding power directly into Vbat? I could find the circuit description of the “pushbutton power circuit” to check if that might damage something. I want to be able to switch the power on and off from outside without the need of pressing the power button.
It should be fine if your supply is in the range of what the batteries put out (4-6V) and if the batteries are not installed (otherwise, you might short the power supply to your batteries).
