Hi I’m asking about using a mosfet to control the voltage to the sleep and reset in the following diagram.
The module seems to heat up excessively without the motor voltage or stepper being activated. Does this mean there is a chance the chip will blow because of this??
Also should the gnd from the motor power supply be connected with the logic power supply?

Could you clarify which of our products you are using (we do not have a DRV8266 carrier)? Could you post some pictures of your setup that show all of your connections? Also, please indicate what part of the board is heating up.
As for your question about the ground connections, the ground pins on our boards are all already connected internally.
