D42V110F24 Short-term 7.5A with 48V input

Hello,
I need to supply a 24V device which enters a short power boost mode before continuous operation that draws 7.5A for 150ms and then 1A when turned on.
According to the datasheet, the D42V110F24 is rated for 24V / 8A (Typical max output current).
A) Do you think it will be too much of a strain for the regulator as we are very close to the max current? Or is it fine as this is a very short burst?

To reduce the current in the power cables, we would like to use a 48V Power supply. This seems to affect the capabilities of the Max Output current quite drastically.
B) Would you not recommend using 48V Vin or will it be fine as the high current demand is very limited in time?

Summary:
Vin = 48V
Vout = 24V
Iout_cont = 1A
Iout_burst = 7.5A (150ms)

Thank you for your help,
Quentin

Hello, Quentin.

I expect the D42V110F24 regulator to handle the 7.5A startup burst without issue, and a 48V input voltage should be fine.
