Happy new year.

Can I supply 40VDC to the “D24V50F5” 5volt 5 amp regulator.
I need this high current supply because it supplies a Raspberry Pi 3B, which requires about around 4 amps of power plus some logic devices, including a 3.3v supply regulator for a microcontroller. . I would use the " D30V30F5" but it can only supply 3.4 amps.
Hello.
Happy New Year!
As indicated on its product page, the maximum operating voltage for the D24V50F5 is 38V, so a 40V supply is definitely not appropriate for that, and even the D30V30F5, which has a maximum input voltage of 45V, does not leave much headroom for noise from the supply. You might consider one of our newer D42V55Fx or D42V110Fx regulators instead, which can each handle supply voltage up to 60V and also have both 5V and 5.3V versions available.

Thank you fr the info.
I am going to try the " D42V55F5" module.
