I would like to know what is the typical failure mode (short input, short input-output, or open circuit) of the D24V22F5 and if there are differences with the D24V25F5.

Sorry, we do not have typical failure modes of our regulators characterized. How each unit breaks will depend on the conditions that cause it to fail. Is there a particular failure mode you are concerned about?
