Cold Weather Suitability of D24V22F5

Hi there,

I am interested in using the D24V22F5 step-down voltage regulator for a number of projects that will be installed in the Canadian Arctic. They are to be operational year round, and will likely encounter temperatures as low as -40°C (-40°F). There didn’t appear to be a datasheet available on the D24V22F5 product page, so I was hoping I could ask if this voltage regulator would be suitable for operation in such conditions.

Thanks for your help!
Adam

Hello,

We only test those regulators at ambient room temperatures, but all of the components on the board are rated for at least - 40°C. If you are using the regulator in some type of enclosure and it is in operation, I expect the regulator to also provide some heat for itself as well.
