Checksum for CHR-UM6

I read through the datasheet for the UM6 and did not see a section on forming/interpreting the checksum. Am I missing something? Or can someone tell me the checksum method? Thanks.

Hi, Joe.

Unfortunately, I don’t see any documentation about forming/interpreting the checksum in the datasheet either. I would suggest looking at the open source firmware or PC software, to see how it works. Or, you could ask for more information on the CHRobotics forum

Thanks Ryan. FYI, according to the CH forums:

‘The checksum is computed by summing the each unsigned character in the packet and storing the result in an unsigned 16-bit integer.’

This appears to be correct.
