I’ve failed early.
5v power to board AND servos (have tested). 1amp.
Connected via usb to pc (correct cable).
Servos don’t move.
Servos work via RC transmitter and same power source.
Have tried two boards.
Any ideas please?

Could you post some pictures of your setup that show all of your connections?
It sounds like you have already checked this, but the most common problem is probably not powering the servo power rail; you can find more information about that in the “Powering the Maestro” section of the Maestro user’s guide. Additionally, please make sure your servos are connected to the Maestro in the correct orientation (with their ground pin closest to the edge of the board). Aside from preventing the servos from working, connecting them the wrong orientation can permanently damage the servos.
