Hi,
I’m new to trying to use the Maestro system. I have a Maestro Mini 12, I’ve downloaded and installed the Maestro drivers, but I can’t see the entries in device manager for the com ports. I’ve tried installing legacy hardware, this registers the com ports but I the control center still does not see the device. HELP!
after install this is what I see in Device Mgr… I don’t see any of the Maestro Polou devices.
Please help
Hello.
The “Add Legacy Hardware” option is only for older devices that do not support Plug-and-Play, and I do not expect it to help.
Please follow the instructions in this post by Amanda for removing the Maestro entries in the Device Manager that you added using the “Add Legacy Hardware” option, and try the suggestions at the end of her post as well. The most common problem is that the USB cable you are using is only intended for charging and lacks the required connections for data communication.

All – in case you run into this issue. The problem was a faulty usb cable. I had tried 3 different cables so I had ruled out this root cause, but after exhausting other troubleshooting options I tried a few more cables. Cable #5 was the fix. I guess the other cables were charging only cables.
