Batteries

I am doing a project where I am running a arduino nano and a servo they will have there own power supply’s.
what I would like to know what would be the best battery’s to use.
the batteries need to last some time constant running over a period of hours and not die if the power runs to low on the batteries
the servo operates at.
Operating voltage of 6.0V
Idle current 8mA
Running current of 450mA
Stall current 2500mA
and I will run the same size batteries for the nano batteries I think.

one option I have looked at is LiFePO4 batties.

Hello.

It would be really difficult to say what the best battery would be for your application. There is a large difference in the current that your servo can draw depending on what it is doing and what load it is under. Because of this, it would be difficult to estimate how long any battery would last. Generally, the higher the mAh rating, the longer a battery will last between charges. If you have some baseline or estimation of how much current you will be drawing, the “Understanding battery capacity: Ah is not A” post on our “Engage Your Brain” blog has some very useful information that might help you.
