I am looking at putting a LCD on the Bab-O. Wondering if the Baby-O can support a back lit LCD? If so which one should I purchase?

Character LCDs with up to 80 characters (4x20 or 2x4) typically have the same interface, so you should be able to control any one of them with the Baby Orangutan. The backlight requires a separate circuit that doesn’t even have to involve the Baby Orangutan; if you use an LED backlight, you just turn it on like any other string of LEDs. The voltage regulator on the Baby Orangutan doesn’t have too much current to spare, but if you can tolerate a little variation in the brightness, I would power the backlight straight off of the main power source. http://www.crystalfontz.com/products/index-std.html has a bunch of options.
