Digikey is out of stock on the AVRISP. Is there another source for an inexpensive solution to program the Baby Orangutan? Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not know of anyone that has the AVRISP in stock right now. The Baby Orangutan can be programmed with a parallel port programmer, which you can make yourself or buy from sources such as Spark Fun electronics (http://www.sparkfun.com). Most programmers have 10-pin connectors on them, so for those, you would need to rewire them to match the 6 pins on the Baby Orangutan.

All-american had a listing for the original AVR-ISP, then took it down, and now have a listing for the AVR-ISP2 which I ordered late last week.

I did see the AVRISP-2 recently - what is the difference?
