I have gotten everything working fine on my desktop which has Windows XP. Now I am trying to put everything on my laptop which has Vista. All seems well except I cant find the preference.txt file to change the upload setting. Any Ideas has anyone every tried this combo with success?

I’ve only tried on XP, so I can’t really help you. Since this is a file specific to the Arduino IDE, you might want to try looking around www.arduino.cc, or maybe ask on their forum if someone doesn’t help you here. If you do find out where the file is, could you post it here in case others have the same problem?

I got it. Vista loves hiding files in weird places. After some searching I was able to find it and get everything up and running.
