Any plans for a VL53L9CX carrier board?

Hi all,

In the Prorok Lab at the University of Cambridge, we work on vision-based navigation for small aerial robots, and we’ve been using Pololu’s VL53L5CX carrier boards for a while now. They’ve been reliable and well made, so they’ve become a standard part of our setup.

ST recently released the VL53L9CX, and we’d like to use it on our next platforms. Before we plan around it, I wanted to ask the Pololu team:

  • Is a VL53L9CX carrier board in development?
  • If so, do you expect it to be available before the end of this year?

If a board is on the way, I’d really appreciate a note in this thread when it’s released.

Thanks!

Maxence

Hello, Maxence.

Thank you for your kind words about our ToF carriers. Unfortunately, we do not expect to release a carrier for the VL53L9CX in the next several months.
