A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Carrier

Hi!

I’m interested in this board pololu.com/catalog/product/1182/resources for controlling one bipolar stepper motor with 1.7A rated current (4 wires). Does anyone has an example of connection with Arduino microcontroller?

How I can find or have an Eagle library for the drivers?

Regards.

Hi,

This getting started guide by decrDude is a good place to start.

There are a wealth of examples of people designing boards that Pololu stepper motor drivers plug into in this RepRap wiki page. Some of them have Eagle files associated with them; perhaps they have a library.

Thank you very much Ryan.

Very helpful

You asked

and RyanTM responded with a link to decrDude’s very useful guide.

However, decrDude has posted much more than that. He’s posted a complete Arduino solution WITH the Eagle files and working “sketch”. :open_mouth:

He even will sell you a shield to do it, saving you the trouble and time.
Look at https://forum.pololu.com/t/a4988-dev-board/3822/1 and be impressed! I sure was. :exclamation:
