We would have responded a little more quickly if you had told us about the SRF05 and provided a link to it, but to help you with this question we would have to go do research about that product ourselves.
Have you thought about how to connect it at all? If you can tell us what you thought about so far, we can give you some more specific suggestions. In general, the 3pi has two free digital I/O pins (PD0 and PD1) that you can use as you like for connecting to digital peripherals.
The Digital I/O functions in the Pololu AVR Library might be useful to you.
