Can the 3pi be turned on while it’s being charged, and function from the charging current?
Hello.
It’s possible, and the details will depend on your particular batteries and charger. Some of the problems that could arise include inability to correctly stop charging and reducing the life of your batteries. So, I wouldn’t do it unattended, and I wouldn’t do it with batteries that were really special to me (no such batteries exist for me).

What about having two packs then you have a relay switching the two, charge a set while the other set is charging, this way it can charge and run at the same time.
