Hello,
I’m not sure if I posted this in the correct section. I am working on a setup with a Maestro 12, BD65496MUV Single Brushed DC Motor Driver Carrier, and a 37mm 100:1 gearmotor. I can post pics later when I get out to the shop, but I believe I have it wired correctly per the second diagram in the data. I have it set up with the GPIO/PWM. The motor worked fine when direct wired to a 12v battery. When plugged in through the board I can not get the motor to move at all. I am not sure if I am missing a component, a step, or what. It should move when using the Control Center, correct?
Hello.
Are you trying to use a Maestro channel’s RC servo signal output as an input to the BD65496MUV carrier? If so, please note that the BD65496MUV driver expects a duty-cycle based PWM signal, which is different from hobby RC servo signals. The 12-channel Maestro has 1 PWM output available on channel 8, which you can control from the “PWM Output” box at the bottom of the “Status” tab of the Maestro Control Center software. You can find more information about under the “PWM Output” heading of the “Status and Real-time Control” section of the Maestro user’s guide.
If that does not fix the problem, please post pictures of your setup that show all of your connections, as well as a copy of your Maestro settings file. You can save a copy of your settings file from the “File” drop-down menu of the Maestro Control Center software while the controller is connected.
Brandon
Yes sir, I have channel 8 set as PWM and have the 7 pin going in as the GPIO. I got shanghai’d today so I will post the pics tomorrow.
Hey Brandon,
Thank you for the help, I fixed the issue, the problem existed on my end.
