12V auto to Raspberry second opinions

I want to get a second opinion on how i would get these items wired together:

12V > Pololu 0J10137 > Pololu D24V50F5 > Pololu S18V20F

the Pololu 0J10137 would get tied to the battery and starter?

Does this generated Flow make sense

Hello.

Your plan mostly looks reasonable to me. However, it is not clear to me which power switch you are referring to. Product #2814 is the Big MOSFET Slide Switch with Reverse Voltage Protection, MP (which is a slide switch and does not have a CTRL input), and 0J10137 could either refer to the LV or SV version of our Mini Pushbutton Power Switch. Assuming it is one of the latter, you could consider something like the Big Pushbutton Power Switch, MP instead, just to give you some extra margin of safety for the current draw.

Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with how the ignition sense line works in automotive applications, but the CTRL input on those pushbutton power switches requires a high pulse to turn on the switch and a low pulse to turn off the switch. If that will not give you the push-on/push-off behavior you want with the ignition sense line, you can wire a panel mount button between the A and B pins on the pushbutton power switches.

Also, please note that we have not tested our regulators in noise heavy environments like automotive applications, which can be very harsh (although we have heard from other users that reportedly used them successfully). You might find this old application note about suppressing transients in an automotive environment helpful.
