ok, really dumb question

on… pololu.com/catalog/product/1913

where is pin 1?

i would think thats the ARROW mark on the connector…

but when i plug this into a 10 PIN MALE HEADER
its not…

its like pin 2

example a male pin header that usb

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8
9 10

and 9 has no pin…

so if i insert a wire into the connector where the arrorw, it lands on pin 2

Hello.

These housings work with both male and female crimp connectors, so there isn’t a way to get the arrows to line up if you mated two together. I recommend indicating pin 1 with a specific color of wire and maybe scratching off the arrow if it isn’t helpful.
