VNH2SP30 / MD01B: 6 us PWM minimum off time?

In the VNH2SP30 datasheet (Table 11. Switching), there is a footnote that says:

Does that mean if one does PWM at 10 KHz (100 us period), then one should not use duty cycles of 94% or above (since then the off time will be <= 6 us)?

Or is there any circuitry on the MD01B to avoid this false detection?

Hello.

I don’t think I’ve ever actively limited the PWM input to avoid <=6 us low times, and I haven’t had any problems. I guess it might depend on details of the load. You can always look at the diag outputs to see if you’re getting any fault conditions.
