Using the TREX as a relay

So I’ve got a device working using a pair of Trex motor controllers.

I need to control a laser diode and I have the auxiliary motor connection still available. Instead of adding additional components, can I just use the aux connection to fire up the diode when I need to turn it on?

Hello.

Yes, you should be able to use the AUX channel as a low-side switch for your laser diode (assuming your laser is not going to draw more than 15 A continuous).
