TB6612FNG VCC for cmos

Can I power the TB6612FNG at 5v if I’m using 3.3v logic? Or does VCC have to match the logic voltage?

Thanks.

Hello.

It is best to have the TB6612FNG carrier operating at the same logic voltage as the device that is controlling it, and it seems like you generally should have a 3.3V power rail available for this if you are using 3.3V logic. According to the TB6612FNG datasheet, the minimum guaranteed-high voltage is VCC*0.7 (i.e. 3.5 V when VCC is 5 V). Therefore, it might not interpret 3.3 V as high when powered at 5V (though it probably would if you really want to try it).
