Do the simple motor controllers have any ability to use the encoders that are built into some of the gear motors you sell?
I’m looking at using your H-bridge controllers and add my own microcontrollers to keep up with the encoder rate and generate speed profiles, but if your ready-made surface-mount goodness already does this, I’d love to save the effort
The Simple Motor Controllers do not have any built-in encoder support. If you are only interested in doing speed control, you can use one channel of an encoder as a tachometer for a jrk motor controller, or you could use the encoder with a RoboClaw. However, neither of those controllers are suited to doing position control with an encoder.
