RoboClaw 2x15A Motor Controller voltage splitting issues

Hello all,

I’m writing to ask for some help/advice regarding the RoboClaw 2x15A Motor Controller (V5E). We have been using two of the controller to run three motors (one has 2 attached the other has 1) in our robot and it’s been going pretty well up until last night.

The only thing we know we changed is updating the firmware, and now it only sends half the battery’s voltage to each motor instead of the full voltage. It makes the robot go basically half speed. We are heading out to a competition in Korea, and are not sure what to do about the issue.

Is there a way to un-do the update? Or to tell the drivers not to split the voltage?

Hello,

For firmware issues, you should check with the manufacturer (BasicMicro) to see what they suggest.
