I am looking at the pancake motors with encoder.
Does one of the TIC motor controllers allow reading the encoder?

The encoder input on the Tic is a control interface, not a feedback one. The Tic does not support using encoders for closed-loop control, so for those applications, you would need to process the encoders externally. You can see more about the Tic’s encoder interface in the user’s guide.
