Pololu 18v7 5.5-30V, 7A Motor Controller output signal

Hello,

Ive found out i can control this board with a 2.4 ghz controller with servo PM output.
What is the output signal?

If i supply it with 10VDC, is my output signal from 0 to 10 VDC?

This is going to bin an input on a frequency inverter for a 1500W 3phase motor.

Regards Twan

Hello, Twan.

The output will switch between 0 and your supply voltage at a duty cycle based on your speed setting. Also, you realize that this motor controller will not output anywhere near 1500W, right?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply, its very usefull.

The board is going to be connected to a controller for the 3-phase motor.
So its just a control voltage with a couple of mA.
The main goal of the usage of the board is to convert a RC servo PWM to a voltage from 0…10VDC

Hello, Can you tell me what the outfut frequency is?, is assume its a normal PWM signal with variable on/off time (duty cycle)

regards

The PWM frequency of our Simple Motor Controllers (SMCs) is by default the maximum of 21.77kHz. You can make it lower; you can learn more about how to do that inside the “Motor Settings” section of the SMC’s user’s guide, which you can find under the “Resources” tab of their product pages.

In case it was not clear, the output from the SMC will be a square wave PWM signal; you will have to do some filtering to make it into an analog voltage.
