Everything is going great until I mount the motor in my enclosure and now the enclosure is acting like a large amplifier.
As soon as I even touch the motor on the box, the noise gets really loud.
What would be a good way to dampen the sound?

You might line your enclosure with some soft material like foam rubber to dampen your noise. However, I do not have any specific product suggestions for material like that.
