Matching servo 'Speeds'

Hi All,

I’m just starting out with servos, so please bear with me … (Newbie!!)

I’m building a prototype vehicle using 4 continuous rotation servos (one for each wheel). Ideally I would like to drive all 4 wheels at the same rotational speed, but there seems to be differences between the rotational speed and the slider settings in the Maestro Control Setting across the four channels (including the neutral position where the servos stop turning).

Ultimately I want to progress to stepper motors if the concept works, which will allow much more accurate control, but is there anything I can do in the meantime to match the speeds?




It’s normal to see these variations, so you have to calibrate and compensate for it in your software.

Thanks Jan. I can just about tune them by ear, but possibly not the most scientific way :slight_smile: I’ll see if I can find a tacho …
