Maestro 6 for door release

I am a photographer and don’t do programing. What I would like to do with the Maestro 6 is to rotate a servo 40-60º to retract a pin when power is applied and have a switch to return the pin to hold the door before power off. Is this possible or would an arduino be a better solution?

Thanks

Hello, Robert.

Either the Maestro or the Arduino should work for what you want to do. I do not have any direct examples to point out how to do this with an Arduino. However, you might find the “Using an analog input to control servos” example in the “Example Scripts” section of the “Pololu Maestro Servo Controller User’s Guide” helpful in creating your Maestro script.
