Mac / Linux / Windows unable to see A-Star 32U4 Robot Controller LV with Raspberry Pi Bridge

I received a new A-Star 32U4 Robot Controller LV with Raspberry Pi Bridge but i am unable to work with it. OS X / Ubuntu do not recognize it; i.e. noting in/dev/ttyACM0 or Mac’s /dev/tty.usbmodem

Windows 10 does not recognize even after following this tutorial from the user guide.

Arduino IDE on all three cannot see it also of course. Even after installing the Pololu A-Star Controllers board manager.

Any thoughts as what might be happening?

Hi.

I am sorry you are having problems with your A-Star 32U4 robot controller. Have you tried using a different USB cable (preferably one you know works with other data devices)? Do you see any activity on the LEDs when you plug it in?

Hi Claire,

That was def. the problem and it’s all cleared up now. I guess USB micro cables that are used for charging don’t always the data lines.

All good now, thanks again!
