is the jrk g2 config utility compatible with the old jrk21v3 ?
I can not see the unit in the program when i plug it in.
i tried running the utility with sudo. also added user to dialout (incase the communication is serial port)
lsusb does show the pololu 21v3 .
i’m using linux mint 19

Hello Reggy.

Our G2 Jrk controllers do not use the same configuration utility as our original Jrk controllers. You can find links to the new Jrk G2 Configuration Utility in the “Getting started” section of the “Jrk G2 Motor Controller User’s Guide”. I suggest looking through the Jrk G2 user’s guide to see more about the differences in the G2 version.

I have an old version of the driver not the G2. is there any linux
configuration software for it ?

The Jrk Configuration Utility for our older Jrk controllers only works in Windows, so you would need to configure your Jrk on a Window PC. After configuration, you can send commands to the Jrk USB or TTL serial from a Linux computer. You can see more about our original Jrk controller in the “Pololu Jrk USB Motor Controller User’s Guide”.
