If i suspect the DSMC has spoiled, how i test it??

Hello,

It can be difficult to tell if an electronic component is working correctly or not. The easiest thing is if you have one working unit, you can swap it out and see if the one you are testing works. (Even that won’t necessarily give you completely conclusive results since the two motor controllers could be configured for different motor numbers.)

Basically, you need to double check all of your connections and all of your code, and systematically elliminate all other possibilities. Also, if you saw a puff of smoke come out or felt a large jolt of static discharge as you picked up the motor controller, it is likely damaged.

As a last resort, you can send the motor controller back to us and have us look at it.

if i would like to simply make the DSMC work with my motor, what should i do??

Hello,

You will need to connect power and a small motor to the motor controller and send it a serial command. The command consists of 4 bytes, which are covered in the instructions and in the sample projects online.

There is no way of making the motors run without sending a serial command.
