I need to connect 6 ‘7 segment number display’ to a babyO. Obviesly, there are not egnugh I/O pins for all the segments. I think there is a way to connect the displays together some how but I don’t know how.

You can multiplex, aka light up one at a time the individual digit displays quickly enough that they will look like they’re all lit together to your eye. You need one I/O pin for each segment, plus one unique pin for each digit. So to drive 6 digits you would need 7+6=13 I/O pins.
