Connecting mbed and a Maestro servo controller

Hello,

I’ve recently purchased the mbed microcontroller and a Maestro servo controller, and I want to connect them together so that the mbed controls the servo controller and thus the servo. I know that I need to connect the ground and the rx/tx together, probably with a 0.100" double sided Male Header. So I was wondering what kind of cable would be best to connect the two controllers. I was thinking servo extension cables, however, I’m not certain. If you can indeed connect them via servo cables, which 2 of the 3 wires should headers be connected to?

Hello,

Our premium jumper wires could work well for making the connections you need. Or, if you get some wires with pre-crimped terminals and some crimp connector housings, you could make your own cables - for example, you could build a 2x1 cable to connect the TX/RX pins on the mbed to the RX/TX on the Maestro.
