Hey total newbie question, but I’m working on a school project where I need to develop a device to sense a change in floor color. I will have a rolling vechile that will roll over a different color patch of floor and I need it to stop there. I’m wondering can I use some sort of IR detector or something to send a signal (voltage) that I can use to trigger a braking device. I was thinking a photoresistor (think that’s what it’s called). Any help or links to resources, components, schematics would be very usefull.
