The Orangutans are not made to run under 5 V. The mega168 needs at least 2.7 V at any voltage, and at least 4.5 V over 10 MHz. So there isn’t much reason to expect it to work with your two-cell power.

So it is my bad.
Will try to give more juice later tonight and see if that permanently fixes my problems.

Giving the Baby-O more than enough juice, 6.17V through a cap from a wall wart. I “think” everythings working ok now. But I still do need to remove the ISP connection before doing any tests.
When ISP cable is connected and ISP is OFF, there’s drain on the RESET pin, Baby-O doesn’t wanna boot up.
When ISP cable is connected and ISP is ON, I get a RESET in the middle of my running program!
