Animatronic eye scripts

Hello to Everyone from Down Under (Australia),

I just received my Micro Maestro 6-Channel USB Servo Controller and was very surprise to find how quickly and easy it was to start programing and controlling a couple of servo’s.

I have a prototype set of eyes and servos set up but would like to use code to move my eyes left/right, up/down and introduce an additional servo to control a pair of eye lids.

Why I can write code in an endless loop to move my eyes I would prefer to use a random number generator for the delays to have the eyes move more realistic and not in a pattern.

Can anyone assists with the random generator function?

When I have the code and eyes working I intend to share in this forum.

Hello.

Thank you for your feedback on the Maestro; I am glad you have had a good experience with it. Unfortunately, the Maestro does not have a built-in random number generator. However, you might try one of the suggestions that Paul made in this thread. If you try this and need some additional help, you can post what you have so far, and I would be glad to take a look at it.

I will give it a go and post my progess.

Stay tuned for the next installment.
