18v25 Item 1381 Max temp setting

What is the max temp setting that is safe to use for this Driver?

It gets over the default of 80deg Cel pretty quick.

Hello.

From our testing of the 18V25 motor controller, we found that you can set the temperature limit to 130 degrees C, but if you do so it would be operating close to its limits.

If heat is a problem for you, you can make the controller run a few degrees cooler by lowering the PWM frequency as low as possible (1.12 kHz).

Thank you. Do you know the approx temp rise per amp drawn?

No, I don’t have that number, but I can tell you that we have been able to get the controller to deliver 25 A continuously in an air-conditioned room, with the temperature sensor reading staying around 125 degrees C. This was with the lowest possible PWM frequency.
