You state that item #1381 can carry 25 Amp without a heat sink.
Is it possible to fit a heat sink to the power transistors, and if so what would the maximum current rating be (assume large heat sink).

With enough heat sinking on the H-bridge MOSFETs, you should be able to get around 40 A of continuous current out of the controller. Note that it’s a bit of a tight fit, and you will need to position the included axial capacitor so that it doesn’t get in the way of the heat sink. Be careful not to short anything with the heat sink!

Do you know which heat sink to use? Or do you have a picture of one of these with the heat sink installed?
What type of glue would you recommend?

We have not tried using a heat sink on these controllers, so I don’t have any pictures to show you or any particular heat sinks to point you to. As far as mounting goes, I recommend you look into thermal epoxy/adhesive.
