Zumo 32U4 ISP Programming

Can the Zumo 32U4 be programmed via ISP? That is, instead of using the USB boot loader.

I didn’t see the normal 6-pin ISP programming header and didn’t notice it mentioned in the manual.

Hello.

Although ISP pins are not indicated on the Zumo 32U4 board and not mentioned in the user’s guide, you can program the Zumo 32U4 through its SPI pins (pins 15, 16, and 14). Additionally, the block of 6 pins closest to the reset button (including the 3 SPI pins, RESET, 5V, and GND) can be used as an ISP programming header if the appropriate pins are soldered in. You can look at the “Zumo 32U4 front expansion and LCD connector pinout” picture under the “Expansion areas” section of the Zumo 32U4 Robot User’s Guide for reference.
